Kitchens - Project Four -
The original kitchen lacked work area and visual appeal. The key to the redesign was to close off a window, and to remove a pantry and desk. The white granite counter with deep flecks of mica and dark veining set the colour tones. In-floor heat beneath the 18x18 porcelain tiles provides for a comfortable surface even in bare-feet while also more efficiently heating the room. Low voltage halogen lighting provides for well-lit workspaces and dramatically accents the reflective character of the counters. Stainless steel appliances and hardware, as well as the rich dark chocolate cabinetry further lift the granite to its focal point. | back to index |
