ALL ABOUT US

OUR COMMUNITY

As a member of London's community, we feel strongly about giving back and supporting many charities and community groups. Contributing either through funds, time, or support (sometimes all three), we continue to diversify our involvement while maintaining our commitment to past organizations and groups.

Annually we donate over $10,000 to local charities, teams, and initiatives. Last year in 2009, with the additional $10,348 we raised for the Labatt 24 Hour Relay for the Children's Aid Society, we donated and raised well over $20,000.

Some of the organizations we believe in and support financially:

  • Labatt 24 Hour Relay for the Children's Aid Society
  • Bethany' Hope Foundation
  • Business Cares Food Drive
  • Monsignor Feeney Foundation
  • May Court Club of London
  • YMCA's Y 4 Kids Campaign
  • South West Optimist Soccer
  • Southdale Chaplaincy

Equally important to funding organizations financially, is supporting their construction related projects with expertise, carpentry staff, and pro bono project management.

  • Last year, we completed the volunteer construction management of the new commercial kitchen ($300,000 project) at St. James Church in the summer of 2008 after completing the planning and tender process on a volunteer basis earlier that year.
  • Zoltan Balogh has continued support for the Children's Museum after 12 years on the board by remaining for the past 5 years on a committee for project facilities, exhibits and maintenance.
  • For the Unity Project, we completed the volunteer construction management and overall management of the design and quotation process for $270,000 in building upgrades as funded by CMHC Shelter Enhancement Program (SEP).   This project provided much needed improvements to London's newest homeless shelter.  Patrick Malloy also sits on the Board of Directors for the shelter.
  • For Ronald MacDonald House, Zoltan Balogh and Patrick Malloy along with several staff members have volunteered to prepare home cooked meals on four separate dates in 2009 for family members of sick children in local London Hospitals.   As part of the London business community we wanted to reach out and help families in need.  It allows families spending a whole day at hospital with a sick child the simple pleasure of enjoying a nutritious home cooked meal at the end of the day.
