Home Additions - Project Three -
With the sale of the family cottage, the owners of this east London home wanted to marry that cottage feeling with their full-time residence. The project added a large single level addition, containing a sunken living room complete with transom windows and double doors leading out to the rear deck. The new kitchen, which is open to the living area, and has access to the rear deck, speaks to that airy and very social feeling indicative of cottage living. The landscape plan was developed to mirror the green spaces of the cottage while using local plant species, creating a view reminiscent to that of their cottage.  | back to index |
